Day 3 - Alice Springs

Even today, wake up at 6 am for the flight of 8.45, Destination Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Central Australia, or in the middle of nowhere!
and Qantas Flight 'was perfect, breakfast film and outbuildings. After two hours we are at the airport of Alice, renamed by me and my English friend> "Heathrow", because of its size (and 'about 1 / 4 of Orio al Serio!).
Off-airport waiting for us by a small minibus with the logo of our hostel .
The temperature 'of 40 degrees, the air and' greenhouse < e' come essete in una sauna, ottimo per la mia sinusite!
Once you get on the bus, the driver (a crazy guy) starts to explain the area and its attractions more 'important are all completely natural!
The entry of Alice Springs' a sort of natural transition between two ranges (rock formations similar to the hills without vegetation).
In the picture you can 'see clearly where the ranges and western ends where it begins the eastern one.

Once the check-in at the hostel and place the bags Nenella 10-bed room (air conditioning), we went to the city center '. Alice Springs is incredible, this is probably the capital of what should be the "real" outback Australia and capital (ie the Australian desert and the "wild life"). On one side of the street is' the Todd River, in the dry and on the left there are shops and houses made from wood. There are also many parks (and alcohol free area) where they camp Aborigines, who usually sleep on the bed of the river or hospitality centers. In fact, people get this week conspicuously an agreement in terms of dollars that allows them to survive. At the same
of this land, the Aborigines are the oldest civilization in the world, there would be many other things to write about Aboriginal people but are just beginning the study, if I'll post something later, together with the indigenous Torres Strait.
back to Alice Springs, once in town we drove the "walking tour" of the Lonely Planet, we bought bread, ham, melon and mango for our dinner! Continued ...
